Dagmar Myslinska

Dagmar Rita Myslinska joined Charlotte School of Law as an Assistant Professor in August 2012. Prior to joining Charlotte School of Law, Professor Myslinska had taught as a lecturer-in-law at Columbia University School of Law; and as an adjunct professor at Fordham University School of Law, and Seton Hall University School of Law. She has also taught University of Memphis School of Law students while serving as a supervising clinical attorney at the Community Legal Center in Memphis. Her scholarship interests include immigration law, legal pedagogy, critical race theory, and multiculturalism.

Before entering academia, Professor Myslinska practiced law for more than seven years, specializing in commercial litigation and pro bono immigration law. Her background includes a federal clerkship, and a diverse practice of law in New York City - at Debevoise & Plimpton, and Boies, Schiller & Flexner. While at Debevoise, Professor Myslinska was also the pro bono Asylum Program Coordinator, and has since volunteered at Human Rights First in their refugee protection program. She is also an author of numerous articles on immigration law, published by Nolo, and a writer for AmeriBar.

Professor Myslinska received her B.A., cum laude, in Psychology, and Film Studies from Yale University; and her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, where she was the Head Notes Editor for the Journal of Transnational Law, and a recipient of the Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar Award.
