The Law Review of the Charlotte School of Law and the Mecklenburg County Bar co-sponsored the Charlotte Law Review’s Inaugural Spring Symposium entitled Ethics in the Legal Profession.

The symposium marked the centennial anniversary of the ABA Canons of Professional Ethics, and served as a forum for judges, practitioners, professors, legal experts, and law students to discuss past, present, and future ethical issues.

 

Distinguished Guests

Speakers

Hon. Dennis W. Archer is a past president of the American Bar Association, former associate justice of the Michigan Supreme Court and two-term mayor of Detroit. Currently, he serves as Chairman of Dickinson Wright PLLC.

Sen. Robert Burren Morgan served as president pro tempore on the North Carolina State Senate, as Attorney General of North Carolina, and as a United States Senator from 1975-1981.

Hon. John Marsh Tyson has served on the North Carolina Court of Appeals since 2001. Previously, he practiced law at Tyson & Associates PLLC. He is currently an Adjunct Professor of Law at Campbell University School of Law.
